Hikari no Kaisetsu Sake - Package Design

Diffraction of Light, colorblind in Nature. As we see light through different barriers, the lights separate and create a beautiful range of colors. Japanese sake is filtered through many barriers to achieve a clear, sweet, and delectable rice wine. A furoshiki was created in order to present the idea of gift giving. The bottle was designed around the ideas of minimalism.

The sake is served in a dark wooden box with a frosted glass front. The frosted glass helps institute the theme of diffraction.

Two flavors were created along with the wooden box to show variety and color possibilities.

The bottle would also be sold with a cloth that would be used a form of gift giving. The furoshiki would be paired with the color pallet.
